Day 10: Green grass and Christmas

Made it to Keymar MD just before 5pm, stopping on the way to do laundry. The almost full moon is rising and Pye has come out of hiding after I hand fed him almost a dozen treats. Since waking me up by barfing all over the bed this morning, he'd been hiding in the closet.

I have encountered angels everywhere! Like the woman in the parking lot who told me she loved my bus, and then drove back around to tell me my lights were still on as i was struggling with my dirty laundry and the lock. Leandra talked me off the ledge when I didn't have a place lined up for tomorrow (still don't, but will). There was the driver who backed up so I could make a turn, and another who stopped so I could get out into a stream of traffic. Tonight's host was a master at directing me to back up and around and back and forward to be up against the barn.

Not being able to do my laundry at the campground the other day also turned out to be a blessing ... because I would have had to stop again today. And as I loaded my machines, Spiderwoman dropped down from the ceiling to check on me.

Seeing green lawns and fields brought such joy and peace to my heart. Three dead deer on the side of the road, not so much. Made it up one long ass hill (doing 10 mph in first gear by the crest) and across one long ass bridge (probably going 10 mph, too). I pulled into a church parking lot to settle down after that one, and was able to leave some food and paper goods in a pantry there, making me feel better.

Four things made me scream: a truck over the line on my side of the road on a curve, and THREE houses ALL DECKED OUT FOR CHRISTMAS. Other than that, feeling blessed and calm. Getting ready to do a tarot reading and warm up leftovers and find a campground for tomorrow (I have a Cracker Barrel as a back-up) ... then leaving the curtains up on the back windows so I can watch the moon from my bed.
