Day 81: Waiting Game
Two weeks now. Sitting in the yard. Waiting. Rebecca Rose has been here, too, on an off, waiting for today when her mechanical mystery was solved. She leaves for St. Pete in the morning where family and slightly warmer weather await. Being in the company of a sister (we’re in our third coven together) and a great friend was just what I needed these past five days. Imagine two witches on wheels, together for a spell.
I also get visits from Jennifer every few days as she hauls huge loads of propane.
As soon as the work on the red truck is completed, Karma gets her turn. But that truck is giving the mechanics fits, pushing my work into next week. I was prepared to rent a car to drive back to Georgia for some critical packages and letters delivered there, but the hosts of the skoolie community have graciously volunteered to mail me the packages and letters I most need, and bring the rest to the expo where I will meet up with them.
With no ability to drive anywhere, I was able to get all but one article done for PaganPages before deadline, for which I am grateful. I am on only the third episode of the latest Grace & Frankie, so I am about to snuggle into the bed and binge as temps drop into the 20s. Tomorrow I have some Witch Hunt profiles to prepare to post.
I don’t doubt these circumstances are universe’s gift of opportunities to relinquish control and demonstrate patience.
