Day 65: Book of Shadows

For some reason, I have a difficult time sleeping when it’s pouring. Although I like the sound of rain on the metal roof, it gets quite loud, so I was awake most of the early, early morning. It didn’t rain all day as expected, but I was too tired to get psyched up to pack up, unplug and drive to shop for food and hit a flea market … and I am out of fresh vegetables and I love flea markets … and my knee was in a good mood. Tomorrow for that.

A witch must keep her word, and I only procrastinated working on my Book of Shadows until dark. I brewed a pot of tea with several “witchy” botanicals including vervain and cronewort, opened the larger of my two tables, lit a candle and some incense, and took out the book from the box in the drawer under the bench seat along with two large padded envelopes stuffed with papers. I know there’s another fat folder somewhere, I think in with my maps, but I won’t get to that tonight. I still have another hour’s worth of sorting and organizing before I’ll put it back in its box. There's so much information I want to organize in one place.  I'm jazzed to finally be making some headway. I'll be taking it out again, soon.
