Day 249: Bye Bye Barb

Tomorrow I leave my sister’s driveway (hopefully without any fluid stains!) and begin to head south to Cuddebackville, New York, then High Bridge, New Jersey and on to Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. The goddess has yet to reveal where I go after that.

It was a great week. I visited with my dad just about every day, going out to eat, taking scenic drives, talking for hours. I visited my favorite circle of trees at Fox Hollow in Lenox, visited with a friend, celebrated the full moon, made new friends, slept late (except when they came to mow the lawn), ate well, stayed pretty warm on the two cold nights (with the help of a heating pad on my feet) and found a Stop & Shop that had several flavors of Rebel ice cream that is both tasty and low carb.

I also received a multitude of gifts … tomatoes, flowers, a little purple dragon, a miniature purple African violet, a feather, a bone, a small crystal ball, bumper stickers, olive oil and I must be forgetting something. I have so many thank you notes to write from this week and last.

Several sets of people visited the bus. Thankfully, the universe sent someone today who wanted to look under the hood because he’d worked on truck engines. The deal was he had to check my fluids. Turns out I’m almost out of antifreeze, so either it was not filled at the garage in New Hampshire or it’s what’s been leaking.

After more than a year without putting bumper stickers on the skoolie, I broke down today and put on four. Before that, I had been putting them up inside Karma. All my previous vehicles have been stickered. On the bus, there’s lots of space just begging for more sassy stickers.

I’ve done a few tarot readings. Tracey, I know I owe you yours. Is there anyone else I promised and didn’t follow through?
