The tranny is more or less tweaked, and that led to the discovery of another engine problem that probably caused the transmission to commit suicide. Oh, I can’t even begin to know all the things I don’t know … like how the fuel system interacts with the drive system and that every week I was supposed to be draining a cup of water from the water separator beneath the truck. (Oh Roberto, your foretelling my last night in West Hartford haunts me.) Evidently, as big and strong and tough as these rigs are, they need frequent maintenance.
No big and strong and tough for me today. I put myself to bed early with my legs propped up and two fans doing their best to blow away the heat, humidity and heaviness.
