Day 153: Bus Blues

Despite blue skies, I got the bus blues. I had her thoroughly inspected and it’s going to take me two days just to get a prioritized estimate that does not take into account freak finds while the work is being done. The other three times Karma was at a garage and I asked them to look at everything, I got nothing on this long list. Things I didn’t even know I had have problems, such as steering axle king pins having play and the front bushings on the drive axle leaf springs are worn out. The thought of running up more debt to keep the bus running freaked me out. I got back to my parking place only to find out I must vacate said parking place, and I don’t know of another one in the Cromwell area to hang out at until everything that can’t wait is fixed on the bus. I caught myself saying for the umpteenth time, “I can’t afford this,” and remembered that thoughts are things, and what you focus on (debt) you get more of. I just proved it! Created my own reality, I did. So, I showered (always helpful for a Pisces), made tea, lit incense and a candle with intentions, and brought out my gratitude journal to see how many pages I can fill.
Let me leave you with the blue skies, down by the river today, watching the clouds float and the river flow, and practicing more responsible social distancing with my tribe.
P.S. I realized that on Day 106 I was surrendering to time. This time it’s to the element of earth, which, among other things, I associate with home and money. Still working on that surrender thing!
