Day 205: $2 Treasures & Free 3-Card Readings
Today I went to my first tag sale of the year. A tag sale addict, I have been jonesing for them, especially with no flea markets or thrift shops open since the pandemic lockdown to get a fix. I only found out about the tag sale in the town in which I’m parked because two days ago, I couldn’t get the bus across two lanes to turn left, so I turned right. I finally found a place I could turn around – a church parking lot – and coming out, I noticed a tag sale being set up for Saturday. I knew it was divine intervention – there was no other way I would have known about it. When I got there this morning, I found a few treasures. They came to a total of $2. Then I decided to see if there were any other tag sales going on in the area on Memorial Day weekend. I found one and when I arrived 15 minutes later I was disappointed to find there was no tag sale.
Trying to find my way back to where the bus is parked, I got lost, traveling back roads, past huge fields readied for planting, and some 15 or 20 tractors sporting flags parked in front yards. All ages. All makes. All colors. All sizes. I later learned they typically participate in the Memorial Day parade that was cancelled this year because of COVID-19. Back at the bus, I checked out the non-tag sale only to realize it said it was Memorial Day weekend but there were no dates in the announcement … the announcement that was posted in 2018. Damn the fine print.
I’m working on some more Witch Hunt profiles to post soon, and I gave a tarot reading over the phone. I miss opportunities to do readings now that we are still pretty much in lockdown. So, I will do free three-card readings starting Monday (and extending through the week) for the first 13 people who request one in the comments on my Facebook page. I’ll PM you a photo of the cards and a description of what they tell me. If you have a specific question, let me know before I pull the cards. If you’re not one of the first 13, and you’d like a reading, I would be willing to give you one for a donation of your choice.
