Day 210: The Prodigal Daughter Returns

The trip was 210 days long, from November 1 to May 28. I moved up to New Hampshire May 30 last year. This time I don’t feel like I’m moving in. This time it’s like coming home after 4,005 miles, and nearly as many learning and relearning opportunities.

Pyewacket claimed the counter on the right side of the sink before i could bring out my portable induction cooktop, so dinner was cold leftovers. Pye seems agitated, talking like he never does and all I can think of is either he doesn’t like being in the bus when he would rather be in the house, or he doesn’t like returning here. I am hoping for the best possible outcome.

The idea is to isolate on the bus for two weeks to be sure I didn’t bring the virus with me unknowingly.

There is a beautiful, cool breeze blowing through the bus. I want nothing more tonight than to feel the mountains embrace me.

(From that town line sign, I begin counting telephone poles. )
