Day 212: Boondocking Blues

It feels good to be back on the bus, illuminated tonight by altar candles. It’s July 16 and I am in a large field in Lisbon, NH, boondocking as it was meant to be. However this post will go up late because I have no Verizon coverage or WiFi. And, as it turned out, no power after 10:30 p.m. I probably need more batteries, because these two were fully charged when I left home in the afternoon, and it was mostly sunny all day. I ran my ultra efficient chest fridge, my phone, and two small fans. I did do a quick stir fry, and I’m sure the burner sucked up power, but there were still a few hours of sunlight after I used it and the batteries appeared to have recharged, so I quickly washed the pan in cold water.

No stars are out tonight. I can smell a storm coming. It will be raining soon. Adventure? Yes. Living the dream? It will be hard to tell because this will be the first night I have tried to sleep without my cPap machine.
