Today it was my turn to pick up the tab for my daughter's early birthday dinner along with her dad, my ex of 19 years. Last night was a birthday party for a very special friend, attended by very special friends. The night before that, it was dinner with a friend, and the day before that was a day spent with another. Pretty much every day is filled with appointments, errands, and catching up with family and friends. (For more photos, check out the Facebook page with the same name.)

Tonight is the first time I had to plug in. With cloudy weather and partially under a tree, my batteries were not fully charging and easily drained with a shower or cooking. And it's getting colder, so there is the constant thump thump of the diesel heater's motor. And speaking of diesel, has anyone else gone into sticker shock at gas prices? Right now it's cheaper to fly roundtrip to Myrtle Beach than it is to fill up my tank.
