DAY 546: Resting Witch Face
I pulled into the skoolie homestead a week ago, and except for getting a ride to CVS to pick up prescriptions, helping to unload some building supplies, washing a load of clothes, and making two side dishes for yesterday’s feast with friends and family, I have been lounging, enjoying moonlight, binging on Netflix, and staying cozy in bed – sometimes with the heater running, most of the time with it off. I plugged into shore power for an hour each of two nights to charge up my battery, but other than that, I’ve been living on sunshine, keeping electrical use to a minimum, and remembering to shut off the inverter/converter as much as possible. Like now. I do dishes and a little cooking in the lodge, and some fantasy shopping on the computer, along with day dreaming, meditating, and sleeping late.
There is a massive undertaking that is about to need a new Volunteer In Charge of Everything With Deadlines and as much as I am dedicated to it, I don’t think it’s meant to be my next step. My tarot card for the day was The Devil, reminding me I am being tempted and am clinging to something that is “the devil I know” rather than letting it go. Ah, that theme again: letting go. Luckily, I recently came across the container of incense formulated for letting go. And one of the things I am letting go is the need to be productive. That’s why I’ve been practicing my resting witch face.
