DAY 566: Sand, Solenoid and Switzerland
I made it to Ponte Verdra Beach in Florida. Lots of sand. And lots of waves. I left my flip flops, some feathers, and shells in a pile on the beach. Next thing I knew, the flip flops were floating out to sea. Making grabs for them, I got soaked with waves as I shrieked with delight, only to realize in the process of getting knocked around by the waves, my new sunglasses flew off my face. The sea did not return them.
Missed most of the sunset and moonrise while Julian did his best to figure out what happened to the wiring that caused something to burn out (and stink) about the time I crossed into Florida … so that the fan and the wipers no longer worked. He and his girlfriend are here from Switzerland, traveling in an RV lent to them by a friend. He was kind enough to back up his rig so there was room for mine. Altho there is a sign warning of no overnight parking, many others have stayed without a problem, so we are too. Worst case scenario, we move to Cracker Barrel.
It’s supposed to rain on Sunday and Monday, and if so I will have to give up beaches and head to the Jappa skoolie camp on the other side of Florida. There there are people willing to try to solve the electrical problem. I am so grateful angels appear when I need them!!
Now it’s almost time for wine with my neighbors.
And more moonlight.
