June 23: Bus Inspection

Greetings! It’s been almost two weeks. I’ve settled into my bedroom, which is the same square footage as the bus, only square, with three windows and lots of light.

Today was the first time I drive Karma since we pulled in. She failed inspection today. The left front tire king pin has too much play. And I may as well do the right side which is not as bad, but will need it before long. There goes a grand at least. And potentially lots more when I look into replacing shocks that are clearly shot.

I’m not discouraged, tho. I’m grateful. Grateful that I found a good mechanic, grateful the wheels didn’t cause problems before now, grateful I will be safe. I am grateful for the easy, scenic ride, diesel gas for only $2.58 (instead of $3.09 six miles away), an intoxicating sapphire sky with lazy white clouds, green mountainsides, and wild daisies by the roadside.

This kind of extreme gratitude has become a large part of my spiritual practice. I read somewhere that if you only learn one prayer, let it be “thank you.”

Thank you for following along. If you or someone you know is interested in some form of Witch 101 group, please leave a comment. I am beginning with one witch and so now is a good time to get in on the ground floor of this experiment of mine that will directed by those who join.

P.S. Check back tomorrow when I introduce Pye as he begins posting on Twitter.
