I am walking. Without pain! Three weeks out from surgery and recovery is going well. I  stopped pain killers two days ago, and have started to walk farther than the bathroom and the kitchen. Last weekend I was chauffeured to more than 25 tag sales in a town-wide event. Yesterday I walked to the gate and back, and today I was on the farm road to the old goat barn picking flowers. My altar feels naked without them. 

I feared recuperation because it has always been connected to pain. I didn’t realize how it would feel to not have a stabbing pain in my hip with every step. Makes it so I don’t mind the exercises at all. Still elevating and icing from time to time. Tomorrow I must return to the hospital to have the top of the incision treated and redressed with something I’m not allergic to so it can heal.
