September 30: No WiFi

This is day three without wifi, so I went into town six miles away and stopped at the best eatery that’s “Keeping It Canaan.” They close in an hour and there is too much to tell. I am on day three of cleaning the bus … with at least one more day before I can try repacking it. All linens to wash, put all the dishes, pans, silverware, etc. through the dishwasher. That alone will be three trips from the bus parked behind the house up a slight hill. Linens will also be about three trips. I can’t begin to count how many it will take to bring everything from the house. Some, like canned cat food, are heavy. The plan, subject to the universe, is to begin heading south a week from today, doing a three-week layover in Connecticut to catch up with family, friends and doctors before making my way to Pennsylvania and parts south. I may as well get accustomed to no Wi-Fi because I rarely have it when traveling. Just like I don’t have a lot of things …. television, flush toilet, dishwasher, freezer ….
