DAY 820: Getting My Hippie On

I shared a booth with a van lifer friend of mine, Sha Gi, at The Hippie Fest. It was a blast, despite the hot sun, lost keys, listening to the same twenty-two songs loop for seven hours a day, and experienced vendors who said they only sold half what they usually do. It was a huge venue, bigger than anything she or I have ever vended at. We learned we would do better finding pagan events.

I was selling long protection strands of witch balls with bells and a hag stone, and I must have had fifty people stop and tell me stories about the trees in their lives that dropped those prickly seed pods. I explained witches have found them useful for hundreds of years. I also got a wide variety of looks when I explained everything on my side of the booth was for whatever donation they wanted to make. I heard one mother explain to her young son in such a beautiful way how to sign a monetary value to something he wanted.

The parade of people walking by was entertaining, and the vibe was different each day, yet still upbeat, joyful, and fun. I loved seeing the original hippies best. Not a cloud in the sky. And so many booths selling wonderful items.

I dragged out everything to craft, and now I am left to pack it all up so we can roll out of here tomorrow morning. She who was asleep by 8pm is going to delight in waking me up at 8am. I must end this, despite having more to share.
