DAY 799: Trying A New Daily Practice
I am a devoted fan of Molly Remer at Brigit’s Grove. I have The Womanrunes and #30DaysOfGoddess, both woven into my morning ritual. Her Hecate and horned god figures stand on my altar. Still, I still hesitated several months before ordering the monthly prayer book for October. I think it was the flashback to the Catholic Church “prayer book” triggered for me. But I’m glad I got past that. Molly describes it as carving out space for a daily practice that can change your life. Two days into my October book and I’ve already signed on as a patreon, to help support her work because of how much she makes available at no cost. That she continues to do that and share her writings is important to me … and something I can support until the price of diesel goes up again. While Molly’s is a goddess-centered practice, and I am not Dianic, I do enjoy working with strong goddess energy. So now I am on a quest to regain a tiny portion of the ephemera collection I gave away with my old life, and I promised myself, only one set of 24 colored pencils and stickers that are on sale. I am finding this is taking about 45 minutes or more, but for the last two nights, it’s what got me from totally drained to centered and inspired. I have a journal I can turn into something very similar, so that might be where I continue to keep this type of daily practice. I’ll keep you updated.
PS I also have one of my followers to thank, for sharing her prayerbook journey.
