DAY 802: Double Trouble
When two crafty witches walk into a craft store that is selling Halloween items for 40-50% off, you can be sure money will be spent. I also needed to buy paper (BOGO), inspirational stickers (50% off), leather cord in many colors ($6) and colored pencils (paid $5 more to get the ones in the tin for easy storage).
Even better, when two witches get together, magic happens. We each pulled a card from the other’s favorite deck … and got the exact messages we needed. We also talked for hours, raising energy, and sharing hugs. I went a week without it after leaving Connecticut, and with my dad’s health failing, and the horrible seven-hour drive today over Bear Mountain in New York and three times having to override Apple Maps because there were roads I was not allowed to travel on and again trying to cross the Delaware River.
Just before Jennifer came, I met Celeste. She lives just around the corner from the mall parking lot I’m in, and she and her husband have had a 37-foot skoolie about as long as I have been on the road with Karma. Like whenever skoolie owners meet, we exchanged stories, product reviews, small living hacks, boondocking information … and phone numbers.
