DAY 650: From Peaches to Beaches
Today was the first of the two-day Peaches to Beaches yard sale along Route 341. Despite threats of thunderstorms, the rain pretty much held off and four of us headed out from the skoolie homestead. I found a wonderful collection of objects — most of which are for spells, charms, and make-your-own mojo bags when I will be a vendor at the Magickal Spring Fair, April 30, 11-6, at the New Britain VFW, 41 Veterans Drive. (More on that as the day draws closer.) Rain and tag sales continue tomorrow. There are several things on my wish list I have yet to find, so I’m hoping to go.
It’s wonderful to be back at the homestead with several skoolie families I met in the fall. In keeping with tradition, there was a gathering to watch Survivor, and I’ve spent time in the hammock swing on the porch and the shower in the lodge. I can also receive packages and do laundry. Despite the clouds, rain and coming freezing cold nights (25 Saturday, 33 Sunday), I am determined to get by on solar, as long as there’s enough to power the fan for the diesel heater. Getting its fuel line fixed is one of a few things I need done. Making my deadlines for Pagan Pages is another.
