DAY 670: Another Day, Another Beach

I just can’t get enough time on the beach. Today it wasn’t quite two hours because I was getting sandblasted. My videos are too big to load, but they had some wild waves that you couldn’t hear over the sound of the wind. The tide was coming in, and I only image the added drama if tomorrow were the full moon instead of the dark moon.

It’s become clear that islands want you to come and spend your money and then leave. There is no place to boondock. The one spot left in the state park camp ground was $72.50 for the night. Although I can park here until 11pm, I’ll leave soon and head for another boat launch. Failing that, it’s a long distance to find a mall parking lot.

I’ve made several twig brooms recently and was yearning to make some with pine needles. This morning I had coffee with Ross and got to see his tiny house that’s only 16 square feet larger than my living space. Walking back to my bus, a pine branch had landed on the ground in front of my door. Just one of the many gifts from the goddess today. And there’s still five hours to go!
