This week I visited two friends: Heather in Maryland whom I met at the Jesup skoolie community last year, and Jennifer in Pennsylvania, who I’ve known since 2014 when I began writing for her online publication, PaganPages, and her husband, Ben, who took “Lynn Days” off from work. Tomorrow it’s on to New Jersey to park in Melvin’s driveway, a Boondockers Welcome host who became a friend. There were long conversations, thrift store shopping, eating, hugging, and laughing.

Last night police officers came knocking at my door. I thought I was going to get told to leave the empty parking lot, but it was just they had never seen a skoolie, let alone one parked a block from the station. They came up the stairs to look around and appeared impressed at how much it contained and that I’m powered only by the sun. They are continuing to check on me and make sure I’m not bothered. 

Life is good.
