Today I drove to Lee to visit with my dad. He did not know who I was, but we still had a pleasant three-hour visit. When he’d doze off, he often laughed and sometimes said a word or two, so it seemed like he was in a happy place. I continued on to my sister’s house in Stockbridge with its completely redesigned and renovated exterior. I have my green fairy lights on tonight, but I’m not adding any class to the driveway.

Mice boarded the bus while it was on the farm. At least one is still traveling with us. I am finding little shits in many new and different spaces. It’s also eaten half a protein bar and about 1/5 of a roll of toilet paper. Last night Pye finally got interested because we could both hear sounds in the corner in front of the driver’s seat. I promised him a bowl full of treats if he’ll kill it. We also have spiders but we don’t kill those.
