DAY 900: Nine Observations
DAY 900: Nine Observations, Belated
(I seems I forgot to press post back on Tuesday … so here it is a bit late.)
I launched my new life in 2019, on November 1, the pagan new year. Today marks the 900th day I have lived on the bus – roughly 30 months out of the past 39. I didn’t expect living on the road would change me, but it has. Some change no doubt are due to retirement and getting off deadlines, some due to living my dream for which I have gone to uncomfortable extremes to accommodate. I, who can write 9,000 words easier than 90, restricted myself to 9 summations. Okay, here goes. In no particular order:
[] Based on a review of thousands of photos, clouds (including sunrises, sunsets, and the moon), Pyewacket, trees and flowers, altars, my view while laying in bed, water, and tarot spreads have been my favorite subjects.
[] With few exceptions, the people I have met uplifted me and enriched my life. The many strangers (or more correctly, friends I had not yet met), friends, and family who gracefully opened their hearts and their homes to me is humbling.
[] Living a simply life does not mean life is easy. Living consciously is joyful. Living off solar off grid is a spiritual experience. Appreciating the little things is a big deal.
[] Being a witch far out of the broom closet 24/7 has been liberating and empowering.
[] Angels appeared when I needed them. Always. And they always will.
[] It took about two years, but I found my “daisy self” I had left behind, which led me to take a magickal name, which has led me to get more in touch with my goddess self.
[] The Goddess doesn’t get the last laugh when I’m laughing with her.
[] When the universe arranges such small but important details – connecting dots 50-plus years apart – so things fall neatly into place, I need not worry about anything.
[] Life is better barefoot.
