DAY 1038: Tequila Time

At 10pm I felt a little something on my bare foot and kicked up my leg to launch one of the cockroaches who moved in when I was in Georgia. Apparently the roach bait I have put out is not doing its job. The lights were on bright, as they have been every night, hoping to keep them in the dark and out of sight.

I surprised myself by not screaming long and loud, but quickly grabbed the cat treat container, dumped out the treats on top of the cooler, and slammed the container down over the large black angry insect before being creeped out led to paralysis. It took a minute or two to locate a stiff piece of thin cardboard, which I slid the container onto without lifting it, preventing the prehistoric creature from escaping. Holding the cardboard on firmly, I made my way off the bus and relocated the unwanted guest to the park next to my sister's yard.

Now it's Tequila Time. I plan to sip as much of this nectar as it takes for me to no longer feel the sensation of it on my foot ... and to stop thinking about the search party that might be forming to look for their missing member.
