With Samhain marking the end of a pagan year, today is often looked at as the start of a new year.

Five years ago, at 11:11 on 11/1/2019, I pulled out of Monica's farm in Dorchester, NH and officially launched as The Witch On Wheels. My emotions were all over the place (fear, joy, excitement) as I drove back roads through the mountains for hours without making it out of New Hampshire. I spent the night at the home of a Boondockers Welcome host.

Five years later, my emotions are again all over the place (joy, excitement, pride, mild sadness) as I watched Jonathon drive the dream I made come true, my home for five years, out of The Skoolie Homestead bound for her new home in Burnsville, North Carolina, where he and the extended Collins family are rebuilding their lives after losing everything in Hurricane Helene.
