November 6: Astrological Samhain

Blessings to you on this dark night. It's quiet except for the sound of rain on the roof. Until a few of hours ago, I was under the assumption that November 7 was astrological Samhain. And it was. Some recent year. So, I moved up my plans, made a crown of grape vines. ivy, and antlers as I work with Cernunnos tonight. When I went to look for an image of him, I realized I never posted my Good God! column with photos on PaganPages.org, so I stopped to do that.

It's the third and final harvest to close out the agricultural year. I rearranged the altar and am about to cast a circle and invite enlightened, healed ancestors to cross through the thin veil. Then I intend to sit with my post-election fear and anxiety until I can release it, and not take it into the new year in 55 minutes.
