April 29: More From Massachusetts

It's day 1298 on the road, 40 of which have been in Karmalita, and five of those were in Stockbridge with my sister and her husband. It was a joy doing sisterly things like getting our nails done, shopping, and going out to dinner. She's is a freaking awesome cook, and I was well fed. And relaxed. My new extension cord was put to use when my new diesel heater stopped working a second time and I plugged in to use an electric heater from Tractor Supply. With cold nights, I kept the couch as a bed day and night, so I was able to cuddle again with Pye.

The last two nights I've spent in Wilbraham with Pam, who has the witchiest house I've ever been in. Inside and out, everywhere you look there is something magickal. She hosted me when I launched in 2019 and it's so good to be back. We've gone out to eat, found a few treasures at tag sales, and rescued plants from the trash. Sitting in a plush recliner, eating takeout, watching movies and gabbing have been more treats.

My dreams have been vivid, my altar kept small, and my journaling short. As soon as my hair dries, we will be off on more adventures.

I will spend another night here, but it won't be on my couch. A week was enough for my back. While there is the best B&B setup for me inside, I am looking forward to sleeping in the hammock again.
