We two witches went on an adventure today. It was intended to culminate with celebrating the full strawberry moon rise at the beach, but a lightening storm rolled in. Still, we had our strawberries – thanks to the yummies at Sweet & Savory, my cousin's shop just up the street from the Goodspeed in East Haddam. , serving ice cream (dairy and vegan), small batch treats, and charcuterie boxes. Our next stops were at two of the Book Barn's locations. I used my necklace as a pendulum to see if it was in my highest good and greatest joy to buy two witchy books for myself. It wasn't. We had great meals at The Black Sheep Irish bar and restaurant, got out of the funky eclecticTumbleweeds store without buying anything, and then sat on McCook's Beach until the rain forced us to head home. I'm savoring the memories along with the brownie I bought at Sweet & Savory. Getting ready for a short ritual, hoping the clouds part long enough to get a peek at the moon.
