January 22: On the Move
It's been a long time since I had cell service or WiFi, so let me catch you up.
The weekend with Natasha and Schanell was wonderful. We did a blessing of the land on which Schanell is having a house built, and we celebrated the full moon burning our intentions on bay leaves and by visiting the beach at night.
I returned to the water management field and friends for a week. It was windy with some rain, but the sunsets, clouds, birds, and camaraderie were all you could want.
I've been pulling a card a day from Witches' Wisdom Tarot by Phyllis Curott and Danielle Barlow. Of the 18 so far, I would say 15 of them depicted something about my day. I pulled the Moon the day of the full moon, Spiderwoman when I was weaving together the places we are aiming to go, and the Witch of Fire when I'd been sitting at a campfire. After pulling the 7 of Water, I kept seeing a hole in the clouds. I am loving this deck and happy I joined the intuitive tarot class.
Most of this past holiday weekend I spent in my maxi hooded sweatshirt lounger curled up in the hammock. The TikTok fiasco and the inauguration triggered strong emotions that I needed to manage. It was only the second time Pyewacket climbed into the hammock. He must have known how much I needed that.
I'm finishing a ritual for Pagan Pages and will be uploading it plus two other columns this week (I hope).
Yesterday we did laundry and shopping, and began to make our way to the coast and north. Karmalita spent the night at a Cracker Barrel along with two other skoolies. We will stay at a witchy couple's house for a few nights next week, camp for a weekend at an Imbolc festival, and go to watch the manatees.
I am presenting a ritual planning workshop tomorrow evening, searching for more information about a billionaire hexing happening Friday, and readying for the planets to aline and the timeline to also on January 25. Have you felt energy changes?
