February 14: Fort Walton Beach Wrap Up
So ... let's see if what goes around comes around. I just spent a week in this tourist town and $540 to find out that the fan hub plug was not plugged in all the way. That's why the check engine light was on. A stupid plug! So ... I got copies of the two invoices from Shop #3 and stuck on Post-It notes explaining that to the person at Shop #2, that fixed me up when the fan fell off because Shop #1 did not mount it correctly. I sent Shop #2 invoice to Shop #1, and was reimbursed. Now I'm seeking reimbursement from Shop #2 for work done by Shop #3 ... at $160 an hour.
Miscellaneous notes:
> Under the full moon I made a little vision board for self-love, prompted by drawing this card.
> The air conditioner again leaked during a thunderstorm, keeping me awake to empty the container. Another storm was so strong, it blew rain in windows that were only open a bit.
> I bought a toaster for my keto bagels (yeah, I know, they're processed so not true keto) and quickly learned not to toast the bagel at the same time as I fry the egg or something in the solar closet starts beeping.
> It rained the day I planned to go to the National Seashore, so I spent that days and two others at a park along the water.
> I am working my way west slowly, by going north to avoid bridges over large bodies of water before coming back down after Mobile, AL. I have stays lined up at a pub, a farm, a museum, and a funky barbeque & blues joint.
