The Witch on Wheels

Meet Linn Richardson

A quadruple Aquarian, Linn Richardson is full of seemingly contradictory whims and behaviors. Highly intellectual and creative, she can converse on just about any topic, magickal or mundane.
“Normal is what’s normal for you,” Linn stresses.
Self assured, somewhat eccentric, quiet but powerful, and progressive with a rebel streak, she likes to identify a need and fix it. When it’s been me who’s needed fixing, I’ve found her advice to be on target – like this when I was in my over-planning mindset, “The multiverse conspires to deliver what you need when you need it. Do only that which you know is needed because the multiverse does what it does for a reason, and knows best 99% of the time.”

1. Do you have a magickal name you’re willing to share?
Agamena
2. In what state do you reside?
Connecticut
3. How do you make your living?
Retired network engineer, project manager disaster recovery; now an artist.
4. Are you out of the closet? / Have you felt threatened?
Yes / No
5. When did you first know you were a witch? How long have you been practicing?
When I turned 15, 51 years ago.
6. How do you define your practice? Do you follow a specific tradition?
Eclectic. I draw from many cross-cultural traditions, but not all are Wiccan. If it works, it works. It’s
your intent that makes it work. I will do candle blessings and herbal tinctures, but not as often anymore.
I make my own spells as I go along. A lot of what I’m working in is the borderlands, the ares of becoming
and change.
7. What one object must be on your altar for it to be an altar?
Firelight and salt – those are the two I use all the time. Water I bring with me because we’re mostly
water and I bring air because I breathe.
8. Do you have a daily practice?
Yes. I always greet the day as I’m going to bed, which is about the time dawn is coming. As I go to bed,
I make a point of aligning my chakras and doing yoga breathing because it centers me, cleans me and
opens me up because most of the time I’m traveling. I do a lot of astral traveling when I’m asleep and I
like to start out balanced.
9. How do you respond when someone asks, “Are you a good witch or a bad witch?”
“Define witch.”
10. Do you have a familiar?
Yes. Bella. For 17 years she was my cat and my familiar. She died last year. Now she’s back but corporal;
she still gives me advice and she’s usually right.
11. What gifts, skills or powers do you share?
Energy work (healing, precog, web work, weather), art. All of these things I can do magick with.
12. What was your most magickal experience?
I suspect the night I sang with the wolves under a Yosemite Falls moonbow. Could be when I first
called lightning or rode a storm, or called a big wave. Could be the first time I time walked, or had
a vision that came true , I can’t tell.
