DAY 291: Dark Moon in Scorpio

ark Moon in Scorpio

A couple of hours before the moon entered its dark phase at 12:07am (on the East Coast), I planned a full-blown ritual introduce the Scorpio man I met just before leaving New Hampshire to the dark moon in Scorpio. The photo is of the altar I prepared but never got to use. Working with computers and phones required WiFi and it wasn’t strong enough inside the bus, so I took my phone, computer, candle, one stone, cakes, ale, and a solar lamp off the bus and onto the steps to the porch of the house next to which I am parked. Just as I was set up and ready to begin, my computer died. Back on the bus to retrieve the power cord, then relocate to the porch floor close enough to the outlet. Not surprising that it took me a bit to “be here now.” Centering and grounding helped as always. I cast a circle with my finger, and called the seven directions. Together we read the Charge of the Dark Goddess and then began shadow work using questions posed by Rebecca Rose Guidance’s online coven. They included identifying traits you dislike in others, emotional triggers and limiting beliefs. It was his first ritual and the first esbat I had shared with someone I dated.

afterwards I sat in the hammock chair I donated to the camp so that I could enjoy it while I was here and looked at the stars for a long time before settling in for the night.

The bus is getting cleaned top to bottom, front to back as I fight fleas that flowed me home four days ago. Bonfires here are frequent, as are movies, and conversation on the front and back porches. I am waiting my turn for work to be done on my bus, and in the meantime, I have no need to be productive.
