DAY 450: Getting my hippie on

I spent today with my cousin getting my hippie on. A Dead Head, our first stop was Bears and Buses in Southwick MA, owned by a longtime friend of hers. There we found patchwork skirts we could not pass up. If I didn't buy the long one, she would have gotten that one along with two others. We also got matching headbands. A was tempted to get a second daisy crown, but convinced myself the one I had was all I needed. I talked myself out of the most awesome witch hat ever because I could not think of one place I could keep it on the bus, and I sure couldn't wear it in here, probably not even when seated. And no, I didn't think to take a photo. I did take one of my headband, though. And the next place we shopped, I found headbands I liked even better, so of course I snagged one. I also kept my cousin from buying three skirts. I got her down to one, to which she added pants and a headband. We are so on the same wavelength at the same time, and I cherish every moment we spend together.

Tonight I finally got brave enough to take fabric sheers to a bright turquoise oversized long sleeved shirt, cutting it to hip length to better work with the long skirt I got today and will probably wear tomorrow. I have three more tops waiting to be cut shorter, one also needs a V neck and another is begging for patches and other embellishments. I'm waiting until I have creative juices and no need to be perfect at the same time.
