DAY 773: Covid Negative & No Bars
If there is a place near water with mountain views and Verizon service, I haven’t found it in my corner of New Hampshire. I drove for hours today — 75 miles in all — and didn’t find bars once. Not in Rumney, Wentworth, Warren, Ashland, Holderness, Piermont, Dorchester and whatever other towns were along the way. Beautiful views, though. I am back in Canaan, by the town beach, hoping to swim, even though it has begun to rain. There’s a trailhead not too far from here that probably has coverage where I hope to stay for the night.
After posting on Sunday, I tested and found I was negative!!! Only I didn’t feel negative. I still have a slight sinus headache, a horrid sounding cough that is much less frequent, and fatigue that won’t quit. Today’s drive wore me out, and I missed two naps. I hadn’t intended to go quiet so far, but the route I’d planned to shop at four thrift stores was aborted when I got to the second one and realized the reason they were closed is today is not Wednesday. I’m not sure if and when I might try again. My time in New Hampshire is getting short.
This photo is of The Inn On Golden Pond in Holderness (from the movie) ... a pond that had no public beach that I could find.
