DAY 976: The More Things Change …

“The more things change, the more they stay the same,” according to the proverb. That’s the case with my refrigerator. On February 1, I bought the Whirlpool to replace the Dometic. Today the Dometic is back in it’s place and I’m looking for a new home for the Whirlpool. While I came to like seeing items on shelves instead of buried in the chest, I liked being able to shut off my inverter/converter at night and just live on three 12V plugs. I liked being able to place things on top of the refrigerator, something I can’t do when the top has to be lifted. It is easier to open and close the window, which is a big thing when it is one of only four with screens.

My third solar panel went up today, and tomorrow the new controller will be delivered. Then it’s a matter of testing the system before I shove off this weekend and begin my way north.

I finished hanging the last new string of fairy lights, giving me some new color choices.

Digging through bins, I found things to give to a new witch, and came across these that are looking for new homes, too.

My Pagan Pages deadlines are looming, and I just finished “The Wildwood Way,” which had a re-release last year, and interviewed the author who has lived in the wilds for most of his life. I have two more books to read, and three more to reviews to write, along with three columns. I would enjoy it more if I practiced better time management.

What I have managed to do was spend several evenings sharing drinks and meals with community members – one whom I learned was a massage therapist. I am looking forward to what will be my third massage in as many years.

What are you looking forward to?
