March 27: Thunderstorm and Tea
I am sitting in Bay 9 at Brad’s in Ludowici, GA watching a pre-dawn thunderstorm. Trucks coming in and out of the lot and trains are all louder than the thunder. It took dozens of shots but I got one lit by lightning as I sit on the couch, my feet on the hammock sipping tea and eating a toasted keto bagel and sipping holy basil tea.
I left the homestead yesterday - first to retrieve the credit card I left at the restaurant (where I could actually park in the street) and then to get my A/C compressor replaced. It took a while for Brad and crew to find a replacement that could be here today but more likely tomorrow. Although Karmalita is drivable, without tags I am content to camp here.
Pyewacket is also content. He does not like the cozy felt house, but he does like turning the arm of the couch into a $300 scratching post, even as he sleeps.
