August 14: Passing the Hat
Today Debby (who has known me since I was hired to replace her in 1972) gifted me this hat she knitted in my favorite color. I have had to give away several hats since my home became a skoolie. Space won't be an issue because this one can be rolled up without damaging its floppy brim or pointy tip. I also travel with dishrags sporting four-letter words and a witch she knitted. Needles are her magic wands. They go everywhere with her. With them she's made everything from unicorn hooded scarves ending in pockets to support chickens, gnomes to socks, and hats and scarves for many a good cause.
