August 23: Venturing Out For Visits
It's been a busy two days. Yesterday it an implant post from the dentist, a medical massage, then, as the Novocain wore off, a stop at my favorite metaphysical shop – A New Page in Middletown – and then hand-crafted cocktails and bar bites with my favorite Auntie at Conspiracy on Main Street. (I'm looking forward to going back for two drinks: That Black Mambo Magic and Moonpool.) I arrived back on Karmalita about the time the alcohol and Tylenol had worn off. I added some selenite over my door and a Stuck Heart protection charm (inspired by a January TikTok post by Lizzie And The Bats) beside it. After watching the Democratic convention, I had difficulty sleeping until another Tylenol kicked in.
Today that implant post is still hurting, but the spots the therapist worked on are recovering. After my annual eye doctor appointment, food shopping, and a shower, I drove some 90 miles to stay the weekend with my BFF and sister crone in Lunenburg, MA. It's my 131st night on Karmalita and 1,387th in a skoolie. It's a busy street with unfamiliar noises, but hoping it will be quiet when my next Tylenol kicks in in time for sleep.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
