August 7: A Few of My Favorite Things
I got to do three of my favorite things today: walk labyrinths, visit a cemetery, and listen to jazz.
It was the first time my sister walked a labyrinth, and I can't remember the last time I did. Then we visited the part of a cemetery that formed a circle. I wish I could camp there in the bus for a day or two or three – especially under a full moon. Remembering what they did to Alice at her restaurant, I rather doubt Stockbridge would let me get away with "practicing my religion." We ended the day with martinis and jazz at the Lion's Den at the Red Lion Inn. (For more photos, check out my Facebook post.
I have a lot of witch sisters, and skoolie sisters, and a few same-birth-day-as-me sisters, but she's my only sibling sister. She was born on my second birthday, so I've known her all her life, and yet in many ways, we don't know each other like we did when we were younger. We'll be working to change that as we spend more time together again tomorrow.
