Day 57: Moon Magick

The dark moon in Capricorn came thirteen minutes after midnight, the morning of December 26. A coven post explained the astrological influences as being great for setting intentions involving financial issues; shifting away from stable, expected, comfortable ways; and taking control of your destiny … among other things. An eclipse gave it long-lasting effects. Another source explained that the last six months were about deconstructing your life to be ready for this solar eclipse that will set the foundation for the next six months. I journaled.

Six months ago I sold my condo, registered my bus, learned to drive it, and faced a string of fears and doubts. I ended one life and began another, bringing me a thousand miles from my comfort zone. I released that which no longer served me, outlined goals and made a list of what I would manifest so my journey would continue for the next six months. Finding help with Karma was at the top of the list. In the morning, scrolling through my Facebook feed, I found myself reading random posts. For one of them, I was drawn to read some of the comments. Buried among the dozens of responses was a mention of a Skoolie Homestead Community in Georgia. I got excited. I’m on the Georgia coast, fifty miles south of Savannah and, as it turns out, just thirty-four miles east of this community (less as the crow flies). Today I was welcomed into the group. I will drive there Sunday.

This afternoon Linda and I visited St. Simons Island. The water, the trees, the dolphin, the clouds were all captivating. (See my Facebook page for pictures.)
