DAY 373: Weather Reflects My Mood

There was no light lingering after sunset as the sound of thunder draws closer. A wet night with rain beating on the roof. I hope to channel it to heal and cleanse and wash away the dread of getting an X-ray today and learning the only solution to the pain is a hip replacement. It’s going to take me a while to wrap my brain around that without it trying to figure out, calculate and plan everything between now and full recovery … or even if I do it. (There’s a second opinion I want to get in Connecticut, and maybe a third if there is a tie.)
I welcome the fire and rain, and the dark in which to dance with both in spirit if not the physical.
